ECCOCASA
App Design & Rebrand
Ecocasa is where design meets sustainability. It's a curated collection of eco-conscious home elements, from reclaimed wood furniture to energy-efficient lighting. Each piece is a statement of style with a deep commitment to our planet.
Challenge:
The challenge was to design a mobile app that empowers homeowners to make sustainable choices in interior design, thereby promoting eco-friendly living while maintaining aesthetic appeal. The app needed to educate users about sustainable materials, facilitate intuitive design planning, and calculate the environmental impact of their choices.
approach
  1. User Research: I conducted thorough research to understand users' sustainability preferences, interior design needs, and digital behavior. This insight guided the app's features and design.
  2. User-Centric Design: Prioritizing user needs, I crafted an app structure that seamlessly guided users through the process of designing eco-friendly living spaces.
  3. Design System: I created a design system that combined natural color palettes, calming imagery, and organic shapes to reflect the app's sustainability focus.
  4. Interactive Prototyping: Through interactive prototypes, I simulated user interactions, ensuring the app's functionality and usability were tested and refined.
  5. Material Library: I integrated a comprehensive material library, providing users with sustainable options for furniture, finishes, and decor.
  6. Carbon Footprint Calculator: I developed a tool that calculates the environmental impact of design choices, enhancing users' awareness of their contributions
  7. .Educational Content: I incorporated educational content, engaging users with tips and insights about sustainable design principles.
